Having the compromise and motto – we are pioneers in getting first and having visibility in the world’s most desirable markets – and in order to reach more readers with highly valuable content for the industry, we attended the prevailing Asian Television Forum November 28–30 at
Shangri-La Hôtel in Singapore. The interest of the exporters and buyers for our magazines’
information showed a clear dynamism among the Asia-Pacific and American continent territories; in 2006 the market represented up to 22% of the international sales of many companies in the American and European continent.
The main markets in the region continue to be the pair Australia - New Zealand (23% of the sales in the territory) and Japan (20% of Asia’s turnover). There has been a specially notorious
growth in countries like Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan, where
worldwide sales have duplicated between 2005 and 2006.
Decrease in time slots for telenovelas in the Asian market screens
In exclusive meetings and interviews with Asian buyers participating in the Asian Television Forum, we have been able to verify in percentages the loss of slots for Latin American telenovelas.
Due to this, our magazines have come up with reprogramming strategies, as well as a plan to facilitate negotiations, alliances and strategies among Asian and Latin American companies. Do not miss out our next ONLY TELENOVELAS Fiction & Formats issue, which will be distributed in DISCOP delivering all the information on the presentations given at the V
World Summit of the Telenovela and Fiction Industry, plus a stunning SPECIAL REPORT
about the ASIAN MARKETS AND THEIR OPPORTUNITIES
